The act of allowing family members to migrate and get green cards is known as chain migration; it has often been thought of as the unimportant question in the immigration debate. But new figures released by the White House show exactly how big an impact this has on the US.
According to the figure, chain migration actually counted for 70% of the legal migration to the US. And here's the issue, this is largely unskilled, unqualified migration that drives down wages for the poorest in society (whether they are native born or migrants).
U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services Director Lee Cissna said “For years, we've known that large numbers of immigrants have been coming based on petitions from previous immigrants. But this is the first time we really kind of see the whole scope of the problem. And legislators or policymakers at DHS can do what they need to do address the problem.”
In fact, almost 10 million people have come in through chain migration in recent years, yet it is largely ignored. Can you guess why? Because the leftist elite hoped you would be too focused on other immigration to notice that the country is being flooded with as much migration as possible to dilute the conservative vote.
Not a word about the overcrowding of schools and public services, just more smoke and mirrors.
Since when did it become the government's responsibility to hide the actual facts from the public? We have a vote to use, but can only use it properly when we know what the candidates are really planning to do. POliticians should be forbidden from doing any single thing that they did not campaign on. It is a theft of your vote.
