One of the biggest scandals rocking the MSM today is that President Trump said he was approached by Time Magazine about the possibility of his being named Man (person) of the Year. He suggested that he turned down the possibility because it would involve interviews and a phot-shoot.
But Time has shot back with a statement. They say:
“The President is incorrect about how we choose Person of the Year. TIME does not comment on our choice until publication, which is December 6.”
Which is not exactly saying it didn't happen, nor does it discountTrump's statement that he was being “considered” for the “honor.” Yet the MSM and liberal elites have jumped on this as a chance to mock the president. Sports stars say they turned down being named “Sports personality of the year”, Comics are saying they turned down “Comedienne of the Year.” But the reality is that Time's response in no way suggests that they didn't contact Trump about his candidacy for this award.
It is being twisted using legal language that aims to do the most damage possible whilst covering their collective behinds.
We should be asking Time one simple question. Did you reach out to President Trump regarding the possibility of him being a candidate for your award? That's it! Let's see them wriggle out of that one!
